Technology + Education + New Media

So the last two weeks have been crazy bizarre here in Tennessee. School was out more than it was in, and travel was a nightmare. What could cause such chaos you might ask?

Well first there was this…

Then there was this…

And while that may not seem like much to you, here in the South it might as well be this…

We simply are not equipped to deal with snow. School was out for the entire two weeks in some counties and I personally missed four days.

The kids loved it and I admit I enjoyed working from home rather than spending my typical three hours a day driving back and forth between school, work and home.

I thought being snow bound would give me plenty of time to catch up on some reading, but I was so busy I barely had time to breathe. As a Social Media Coordinator, I slammed with announcements about delays and closings, road and weather updates, accident reports and fielding all of the photos we had pouring in from our viewers/readers.

It was a crazy, hectic time and I am so ready for Spring!

Thank you. I wish I could take credit for the shot, but credit for that one goes to Anita Martin in McMinnville, TN.
